Happy Friday! I feel like today is going to be a great day because it finally FEELS like fall! Winning! But today I’m sharing 5 on Friday plus some Favorites of mine from the previous week. I am hoping to be able to do this each week, I loved doing this when I first started blogging.
1. I celebrated my birthday this past Wednesday! I had a great day at work, and a great birthday dinner with my mom, aunt, and CA. Since it was mid-week we didn’t do anything too crazy, so it was nice to go out and a mini celebration.
2. I started our house hunting series, Real Life House Hunters: Long Island. CA and I are still on the journey for looking for a house. We’re documenting it via my blog, and will be sharing any tips or tricks we’ve learned or will learn throughout the process. It’s not an easy journey but it will be all worth it when we do find a house to make our home.
3. It’s FALL, it’s pretty obvious because ya know it’s been fall for a week LOL. But does it actually feel like fall where you live?! Cause on Long Island, it’s felt quite the opposite of fall, nice 80 degrees and HUMID AF. What the heck? Anyways, fall will be coming and I can’t wait!
4.I’m going to be starting the Keto Diet, next Monday. It’ll be a major adjustment cause this girl, LOVES her carbs like it’s my job. But I’ve witnessed friends, people I know online and bloggers who’ve done Keto and lost SO much weight! I have a great feeling this will truly work for me, and I know that as long as I stick to it it’ll work like it did for others. I am also going to workout at home with T-25 (from Beachbody), and run 4 days a week. Last time I ran and did T-25 I lost 70lbs, so I know the method works and it’ll work again. I just need to A. start B. follow through. I will most likely use 5 on Fridays to update since that’s the end of the week and I can update weekly to keep me much more accountable.
5. We went to a wedding last Friday in CT for CA’s college friend. Oh my gosh, first it was black tie preferred so I rented from Rent the Runway and I loved it. I’m drafting up a post about the experience (it was great), and what accessories I rented to go with it. We stayed with friends of ours in their gorgeous house (like farmhouse gorgeous), and the place that they had the wedding, SOOOO pretty. It was a historic house and it was just stunning. We had so much fun, we saw all of our friends, got to talk about everything, and stayed up a little bit with the friends we were staying with to talk and listen to music. We grabbed breakfast on Saturday morning at a diner local to them, which was DELICIOUS. I am picky with my omelets and oh my gosh did they slam dunk it. It was so good and I loved it, which is rare for me. I hope to have that blog post up next Thursday(?), so I can share the gorgeous dress I got to wear.
So for whatever reason, I am getting more into beauty and fashion, it’s a great time ya know? When we’re looking for a house, to be spending money on different things I need LOL, thankfully we have a budget!
Bare Minerals Made 2 Fit foundation (1 fluid oz), oh em GEE is this foundation magical. I am not a full coverage girl, I am lucky that I don’t have much texture on my face that needs to be covered. So this foundation is a medium to buildable full coverage, the BEST part? You get perfectly MATCHED on the app, you calibrate your phone’s camera for best results, and then take a picture of the 5 different areas on your face. The cutest part of this app to the foundation is that the bottle has your name on it! Unless your skin tone will be changing (tanning, going into the sun etc), you can re-purchase the foundation if you want a backup or run low. If you use my referral link (since it’s an app I recommend downloading the app then click the link) you save yourself $10 and I get $10 to use towards my next purchase! We both win!
I was wearing the Made-2-Fit foundation in this picture below, with contouring and etc. But you can see my freckles on my nose, I like that it’s not full coverage because my freckles peek through which I don’t mind.
IT Cosmetics’ Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer & Superhero Mascara. I’m now in my 30s officially, so I want to look as young as I can for as long as I can.(From their website) Developed with leading plastic surgeons, IT Cosmetics® creates clinically proven, innovative, problem-solving color cosmetics and skin care products that harness cutting-edge, Anti-Aging technologies and high performance, skin-loving ingredients to provide you with serious beauty solutions designed to give you the power to look and feel your most beautiful! IT’s truly your beauty, but better! The concealer really brightens my eye area, and feel like the lines are less noticeable. The mascara truly speaks for itself, my eyes look huge, and I love how full my lashes look! (the picture above I’m wearing both of these, and my dark circles are non-existent)
I have a few favorites to share within the coming weeks I just want to use them a few more times before I share!
How was your week? Did you have a lot of things going on or was your week kind of quiet? This weekend is shaping up to be busy but I am hoping on Sunday we’ll have nice weather when we go out east to do some fall activities.
