7 Ways to Start Running After a Break #waverider21

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Mizuno. The opinions and text are all mine. #waverider21  I'll be the first to admit, I've taken a huge break from running, and fitness all together. I lost motivation, and to be honest Q4 in the blogging world has kept me busy. Now that the year is coming to a close, I've realized I needed to get back into running and weight ... Read the Post

Perfect Summer Dinner: Angel Hair Primavera with WASA Crispbreads

This post has been sponsored, as always all opinions are my own.I love the summer time; hosting BBQs, heading out to the beach, attending weddings, and time outside with Thor (my puppy)! It also means that I need to buckle down to be able to meet my goals. Since my goals are aimed for “life” and not simply short-term, I realized I need to completely change my mindset. For this to happen, I ... Read the Post

Train Tough Tuesdays: Restart! #ProjectHotness2016

Hitting the Restart Button...for the thousandth time. #ProjectHotness2016If you've been following me since I started, you've probably have seen this "reset button" I've had to hit a few times before. I swear one day it'll stick in my thick skull that once I stop "stopping", I will no longer have to restart. As of right now, my muscles are sore, I walked like a fawn for about 4 days after ... ✨ Sorry but you’re stuck with me now! ✨Ha ✨ Sorry but you’re stuck with me now! ✨Happy NINTH Engagement Anniversary @liveliketheflash, thank you for keeping your promises ❤️#anniversary #engagement
Can’t stop, won’t stop! A fun birthday celebra Can’t stop, won’t stop! A fun birthday celebration in NYC due to April rain showers—it was more like April torrential downpour— but you get the idea 😉. ⁣
⁣
The last weekend of April @liveliketheflash and I celebrated his birthday in Brooklyn & Manhattan. Starting our Saturday off right, we headed into Brooklyn and had a few drinks at @otherhalfnyc. Then we headed to @threesbrewinggowanus for some more drinks and delicious burger! Staying in Gowanus, we went two blocks away to @finbackbrooklyn , for, you guessed it, more beers and some scrumptious wontons!⁣
⁣
We figured after being a little waterlogged, we made the short trek to the @walkerhotels in Greenwich Village. One of the reasons we picked the Greenwich Village was the location, with its prime location you’re a short drive from Brooklyn, which we took advanage of. You’ve also have the pleathera of neighborhoods to walk around, SoHo, Chelsea, Washington Square Park and more! Plus around the corner you’ve got the 14th Street subway, to take a quick trip anywhere. ⁣
⁣
When we arrived at @WalkerHotels we headed downstairs to check in, and take in the beautiful lobby that is partially underground! We loved our gorgeous art-deco era 1930’s room, with a cozy bed and beautiful bathroom. Our Sunday breakfast was absolutely delicious, from the market to table American restaurant named The Society Cafe. Even though it’s “underground” there was a huge skylight that was allowing sun through and lighting up the restaurant. We sipped fancy coffee and chowed on pancakes, eggs, bacon, and a yummy chocolate crossaint. ⁣
⁣
I honestly can’t wait to go back, between the location, amazing hospitality and food you’ll have everything you need when you stay here. ⁣

Come see the view from the 52nd floor of the @mill Come see the view from the 52nd floor of the @millenniumdowntownnyc! One thing I’ll never get tired of is the views when you’re high up—especially in downtown NYC!⁣
⁣
⁣
With Spring weather (hopefully 🤞🏼) arriving soon, it’s the perfect time to hit NYC, before it gets too warm and crowded. ⁣
⁣
⁣
Here’s what to look for when you’re planning your next vacation : ⁣
⁣
⁣
•Location of your hotel. Staying downtown means you have easy access to Battery Park - which gets you to Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island, as well as SoHo, TriBeCa & Brooklyn. If you’re looking to see more things in Midtown- you’ll have Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, Broadway shows & etc. Uptown will give you easier access to the Met & other museums, plus Central Park. ⁣
⁣
•Ease of travel. If you’ve ever been to NYC, you know that driving a car can be a hassle, not to mention the parking. Walking & subways will be your best bet, so make sure your hotel is close to a station. The more lines available the better! ⁣
⁣
•Amenities- The Millennium had a bar in the lobby for before or after dinner drinks. And there was an on-site gym too. This trip @liveliketheflash was actually running the NYC half otherwise he may have given the gym a try. ⁣
⁣
•Size of the room- okay so CA & I are split on this. I prefer a room that has, space 🤣. CA thinks you’re just sleeping & getting ready so you just need a comfortable bed, & a nice size bathroom. Luckily The Millennium has everything we both like, especially for NYC, the room was large, the bathroom was spacious, and there was a large closet for our bags to be away. Plus, the bed was super comfy, and I loved the fluffy pillows 🤩. ⁣
⁣
⁣
⁣
✨ What’s your main focus when you’re searching for a hotel to stay in? ⁣
