I am a bit behind on this little challenge but this is me, catching up. OOPS. Day 3 is about a picture of your animals.
I have one dog, his name is Baloo, he’s 10 years old. His birthday is November 17th and will be 11 this year. He is a Newfoundland, Black Lab mix, we rescued him from getting euthanized at only 4.5 months old. He is originally from South Carolina, and they shipped him from SC to Yonkers, NY. My mom and I put our paperwork in and drove up to Yonkers to be the first to pick him up. Luckily we got there early, and the people got there late. So when they brought the dogs in from the van I was able to grab his leash and another dog to “help” the woman bringing them in.
My mom signed the paperwork (since I was only 19 and you had to be 21), paid the $200 and off we went. He was 20 pounds UNDER weight and extremely dirty. He was abused as well and it took A LOT for him to trust us. We had some trying times, he was hospitalized for a very bad scratch under his eye. He also killed a baby possum (true story and GROSS), and almost killed a stray cat (he was {} that close). He’s also extremely loving, he protects me with all his might even against my mum and fiancé. He’s a good cuddler especially when I don’t feel good. He also likes to give kisses. He takes his medicine with cheese, and I believe he’s part cat, dog, and some horse (he gallops).
He’s really the best friend a girl could have. He’s a great judge of character and gives good hugs (I kid you not) when I get home from work every day. He also has patience when I want to take pictures with him as long as there’s no distractions… aka a squirrel, bird, bugs, or anyone else coming home.
Pictures –
From our little photo shoot we did one day after work.
The best kisses are from a dog.
He LOVES Peanut Butter like any other dog.
He thinks he’s king of the house… with all his bones.
But in reality, he’s just like any other dog… loves his belly rubs from his adoptive dad CA. ♥
