This is me… still playing catch up.
Day 7- A Picture of someone/something that has had the biggest impact on your life.
My mum. She’s literally my best friend. I can go to her for anything and everything, and honestly I have. She’s played the “mom card” in times that it’s been needed. But in truth she’s always been my best friend. She’s been there always since day 1, it was her and I against the world since I was born. Even though everyone says her and I look nothing alike, her having blonde hair and blue eyes, and me…. brown hair and eyes. I have her smile, laugh, stubborn personality, hard as nails attitude, and all the love. I love with my whole heart, my mum taught me that. She also taught me to be independent and the only person you can count on… is yourself, and family/friends.
My mum also gave me 5 amazing uncles and aunts that love me just as fiercely as she does. Her parents were amazing to me, I couldn’t have asked for better grandparents than them.
My mum gave up her life for me, she was my cheerleading coach til I was 13, as well as my girl scout leader for many years. The biggest thing I constantly thanked her for, being a band mom. Even though she wasn’t really a “band mom” my freshman year of high school she was there, every practice, every competition. She officially became a band mom, the first of my St Patrick’s Day parade. They were short on moms, and since she knew the parents from growing up with them she was there.
My mum is the type of person who will give you her last $10 if that means you have money even if she doesn’t. She’s been the best role model I could look up to. She’s taught me there is NOTHING that can stop me if I want it bad enough. She’s given me 110% support in all of my decisions and have been there if and when some things failed.
I hope when I have kids that I can be at least HALF the mum that she is to me. I know she’ll be the best “mama/Grams” that she can ever be to mine and CA’s future kids.
Thank you for being you mum♥
I love this post! I feel the same way about my mother, she is the best!
