This is a post sponsored by prAna, I was given the clothes to review, but as always all opinions are 100% my own. #WhereDoYouprAna
It’s been awhile since I did an overall update on life behind the blog, and September seems like the best month. Summer will be turning into Fall (which to be honest it already has), and it’s my birthday month (yay!). So, before I ramble into an entire paragraph….
Blogging:
I’ve truly been slacking in this area, I haven’t blogged as much as I wanted to besides doing Sponsored posts. I haven’t even been on Instagram as much as I’d like either, but I am hoping I can figure out a schedule and stick to it. I have so many ideas, so I know what I want to write about I just need to sit down and actually write about it.
I am hoping to write at least 3 days a week, and post on Instagram around 4-6 days a week, and be more active on IG stories. Let’s hope my new schedule works out better than my old one.
Fitness & Health:
This has been a total fall recently. I have been eating healthier in the most recent weeks to get started. But working out has been hard on a whole new level. I am hoping to start fresh this week, with running and working out at home. When I first lost 70lbs in 2013 I worked out at home 5 days a week and ran between 3-5 days a week. The deeper into training I went the more I was running during the week, plus races that I did.
I may try altering my eating habits to Keto diet, which is low carb, high fat, and moderate protein. It has worked wonders for my friend and other women I’ve seen in a few groups I’m in. I truly am a carb lover so I know that switching to low carb will be a process and something I have to work towards each day.
I’ll be starting to run again with C25K app, it’ll ease me back into running without injuring myself… also see: not absolutely hating running. I’m also going to be working out at home with T-25 which has a modifier for when I am first starting. It’s only 25 minutes of giving it all you got, and that’s it.
I am hoping that the next time I do a check in I’ll have something good to report.
Life in General:
We are house hunting… and it’s going… very slowly. We’ve done all the official stuff, mortgage broker, realtor, set our budget, expectations, etc. So far we’ve seen plenty of houses, only very few contenders, which is extremely rough. I live on Long Island, which is high priced, and taxed, so what we want is hot on the market for plenty of other people too. Our method has been when a new house comes out on the market we send it to our realtor immediately. We’ll keep pushing and looking around, but we do know that we’ll find the right house when we are meant to.
Married life & Thor have been awesome, we’re trying to get Thor excited about moving to a new house in the future… Obviously, he has no idea what we’re saying but we are looking for a decent size yard for him as well as entertaining purposes. ‘
This summer really flew by, and I feel like I got basically nothing done that I wanted to, UGH. Plus I haven’t even started shopping for fall clothes…I’ve seen a few pieces but really haven’t loved anything. But I found a new casual outfit that I honestly love for transitioning into fall, a pair of colorful leggings and a sweater hoodie from prAna! I grabbed the Daria Sweater Hoodie in black & Deco Crop in Cobalt and just love the feel of the leggings. I love the high rise and wide waist band, which awesomely enough includes a built-in pocket for your keys!
I’ve been a fan of prAna for a long time, they offer sustainable, recycled, hemp and fair trade certified items. prAna also gives back to communities all over the world, check out more here. prAna designs clothing that looks good but is versatile enough for any lifestyle and any adventure. It’s common for prAna fans to wear their gear to work and to go for a hike. I definitely was so comfortable in this outfit all day, it’s a great weekend lounging look or if we went out east to grab pumpkins or go to some wineries! It’s environmentally friendly, made with Organic Cotton, another reason to love prAna.

Ooooh, so pretty. Those Deco pants are stylin’!
Good luck with the househunting. May just the right one become available and doable for you and your family.
Don’t be too hard on yourself about not getting the things done that you wanted to this summer. The season is so short and you have all kinds of cold months ahead to get caught up on things. Good luck with the house hunting.
We are house hunting, too. There is short supply in our area. I love your outfit, I have a pRana top, too.
