Day 3 of October Daily-
Day 3 Question; Share a high school memory that you will never forget.
I have so many but I think the one that sticks out the most is; I was a Junior, in Marching Band; we had an extremely competitive marching band, competed all over, and my Junior year, we won EVERYTHING.
Our only competition was an upstate band, they were ‘bid to win’ in the NYSFBC Championship for Large School III which was what WE were in.
We played our hearts out, left it all on the field and we prayed that we would win. Standing on the field, we held hands, and had our heads down while we waited…. they got up to 3rd place… it wasn’t us…. than they said 2nd place…. we held our breathes and waited which seemed for an eternity…. it was our competition. WE WON !
Squeezing hands with our neighbors we were called to ‘Aten Hut’ and with smiles on our face and tears streaming down our cheeks we held our heads high and became champions!
