It’s Holiday Gift Guide season! I am addicted to makeup and Sephora is doing it’s Beauty Insider/VIB sale! Why not start with makeup!? #HolidayGiftGuide
It’s no secret I love makeup, I’ve gone on a few recent shopping binges from Sephora. Grabbing new products as well as getting my beauty IQ when I was in a Sephora. I actually loved getting my beauty IQ done, it means I can grab foundations online without going into the store. It’s such a great feature and it’s perfect for when I don’t remember what number it’s right there!
I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard that Sephora is doing their VIB Rouge Sale! I’m a bit late with this post but… better late than never!
November 3-6
VIB Rouge- 20FORROUGE- 20% OFF
November 10-15
VIB- 20FORVIB- 20% OFF
BEAUTY INSIDERS- INSIDER15 – 15% OFF
I may… do some shopping but honestly, I’ve picked up all of the products I need and even stocked up on my favorite eyeliner. I’ve broken down my lists into three – Loves + Wish List + Holiday Gift Sets! My loves are a mix between products that are either new or old favorites.
LOVES {tried and true favorites}
UD Original Naked Palette: I’ll admit my palette is probably a little old, but I love it. These are the colors I am constantly drawn to and always pick for a new palette. The shadows are creamy and easy to work with. Plus I feel like so many looks can be created from this!
Tarte Aquaconcealer: I love Tarte products, and this concealer has done wonders for my dark circles. Even if I’m not wearing foundation I put this on just so I look more awake.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: My favorite mascara! I’ve always loved this one for every day, I feel like I don’t get that stuck together “spider” look when I coat several layers.
It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: This is tied for my favorite mascara. I found it from Lauren, and I loved how it looked on her lashes! I like pairing this with the Too Faced mascara, I feel like the volume pumps up.
Too Faced Primed and Poreless: This primer has been a favorite of mine for a long time, a few years at least. I love the slight tint that you get with it. I don’t have big pores but I feel like this minimizes whatever pores are visible.
Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer: I love the feel of this primer, I love how smooth my skin feels after I apply this. I’ve used this with different foundations and love the way the foundation sits on it.
Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation: I know some people don’t like the peach smell from the Peach Perfect collection. But the peach smell isn’t overpowering, and it doesn’t smell too “fake”. I also love love love how my face looks in this foundation. I don’t have texture, but I do have redness in my cheeks and some blemishes I want to be covered. The most magical part… it DOESN’T TRANSFER, like WHAT?! No matter what finishing spray I use foundation usually transfers, this one doesn’t transfer at all.
Too Faced Primed & Peachy Cooling Matte Perfecting Primer: Same as the foundation, peaches smell isn’t overpowering. I love how the foundation and primer work together, and have used both at the same time and love it.
Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder: I pair this with the foundation and primer and feel like the makeup is “set” and won’t move… ever. I like that it’s not a white setting powder like others I’ve used, I don’t feel like it gives me a ghostly appearance.
Too Faced Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray: See a pattern here? LOL I’ve used all 4 products together, and really love how the spray helps set the other products I put on my face, like contour and etc. It definitely needs to be SHAKEN, or it’ll come out in white dots and you will not be happy.
Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation: This foundation I love for when I don’t want to put the effort in my look. I don’t need to contour because some of my color still comes through, and it really gives my face a “filter” finish. It’s extremely smoothing and blurring.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer: …Longest name ever. I wanted something that could give my under-eyes coverage but also helps the wrinkles. I pair this with the Tarte concealer because this is a deeper color so the Tarte helps lighten it up.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder: For whatever reason, this is the ONLY powder that I can set my under-eyes with that won’t crease. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s finely milled or whatever, but it’s really the only product I use.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But BetterTM CC+TM Cream with SPF 50+: I love how this CC cream looks on my skin. I see a huge difference but don’t feel the need to add blush or anything when applying this. I love that it has such a high SPF also, this is great for the days I forget my moisturizer with SPF.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder: I’ve heard so many raves about this product, and I can see why! I love that there is no flashback! I don’t do a lot of flash photography but just in case I go to an event or party I know I can use this without flashback.
Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Waterproof Eyeliner: This is hands down the BEST eyeliner. I wear contacts daily, so finding eyeliner for my waterline that doesn’t smudge or get on my lenses is huge. For my day job I usually only wear eyeliner on my waterline and apply mascara and I’m done. That’s all I have the effort to do early in the morning. This also lasts me around 3-4 weeks, depending on

WISH LIST {I am hoping to grab a few of these after Christmas or maybe receiving them for Christmas}
Colourpop Golden State of Mind Shadow Palette: I’ve heard so many amazing things about Colourpop that this is high on my list. I love these colors and so want this.
Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette: I love these colors, I can create so many different looks in my head! That deep plum is like calling my name lol.
Fenty Beauty by Rhiana Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette: Look at these pretty COLORS! I know I don’t do too much color but I would SO use like all of these. I love the shimmer that the colors have and feel like these would be perfect for parties, and maybe NYE?
Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda: Okay… is it bad if I want this just because it says agenda? No? Cool, it’s pretty and I think it’s a great feature to have looks for all year round!
UD Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette: Miranda suggested this and create FOUR beautiful looks with this palette (see them here). I love the looks she created that I had to put this on my wishlist. She makes everything novice friendly and I really want to grab this.

HOLIDAY GIFT SETS {I did receive 3 products as Press Samples. Those products are: Easy on the Eyes, Paint the town Nude, and Drawn Together Magnetic Brush Set. There will be a * be each one I recieved}
These are all Sephora Brand
Once Upon a Look Eyeshadow Palette: How pretty is this palette?! I love all the colors and feel like if you need a refresh of eyeshadows this is perfect!
Dark Rainbow Antibacterial Brush Set: This is a beautiful brush set, has all the brushes you’d need! It also comes with its own holding case.
Head to Toes! Mask Set: A variety of masks to use! Feet, face, hands, even a hair sleeping mask. I like that you can try different masks from a full set.
Lilly Lashes for Sephora Collection: I’ve been wanting to try false lashes and these come with a little applicator, and with an invisible band. I hope to try wearing them for special events, which would most likely be the only time I’d attempt to wear them.
Fox In The Box Sponge Set: The 3 sizes that come in this set are perfect for applying makeup. I have smaller sponges I use for my concealer that help get in the small areas around my eyes as well as other small areas.
Asleep For The Winter Sleep Mask: I use a sleep mask when we’re on vacation, on a plane and sometimes at home if I’m having trouble sleeping. Plus, the design on the mask is so cute!
Winter Flush Blush Palette: I love all of these colors and think they could really work for different looks and even different seasons. I am more drawn to the pinks than the corals but I’d use them!
Snow Glow Face Palette: This should be in the wishlist category too because the holographic luminizers look like they’d be blinding when you apply.
Color Wonderland Eye Palette: I always get a gift set like this every year. I love all the variety of colors that I get without having too many unused shadows. I usually use the neutrals and the darker shades more so than the really bright colors.
*Easy on the Eyes Eyeshadow Palette: This palette has such a wide variety and I like that each has its own little row. I feel like when I have time to use this palette I would create different looks. Also, the mirror that comes with this palette is HUGE, and behind the mirror, there is a little tutorial to create different looks.
*Paint the Town Nude Lip Pencil Set: I love all the colors in this set, great for so many different looks. I love how they apply, and they’re small enough to keep in my purse when I need to reapply.
Winter Wonderland Advent Calendar: I feel like this would be a great gift for any makeup loving woman, opening a door for 24 days for a surprise would be fun!
The Vault PRO Brush Set: I would definitely put this at the top of the list if you need new brushes. There are 12 brushes included and I feel that you would get use out of all of them. Plus the holder it comes with can be used on your dresser!
*Drawn Together Magnetic Brush Set: I love playing with this set! The magnetic end is a cool feature, the set sticks together when they’re close enough. The brushes that are in the set are really going to be used, the Powder brush I feel like I’ll use for setting powder or maybe bronzer. The concealer brush has the fingertip like bristles so this will definitely be used for applying concealer. I like the fan brush too, it’ll be used for contouring, I’ve seen a few beauty YouTubers use this method and it blends and also makes a blended line.
