WOW I can’t believe it. I’m officially 29… and I’ve entered the last year of my 20s. I have always dreaded this age, I will be 30 next year, and that’s just even crazier to think about. Since I’ve realized that I can’t stop time I need to get over it. So this weekend I made sure I had LOTS of fun!
Friday-
We celebrated at work for my birthday. It was so much fun, I got two cakes, presents, and lots of loving from the people I work with.
Saturday- CA had to work at the winery so mum , my aunt and myself went to get our nails done. I also got my freebie Starbucks drink for my birthday! Woohoo, I got a nice new fresh set of gel on my nails, and a french manicure so I’m set for my Halloween costume. {Not revealing my costume yet because there’s a contest at the party I’m going to!} After the nails we went to AC Moore and got some more supplies for my DIY stuff, and chalkboard things.
^ That is in the corner of my kitchen, I wanted something that would be “out of the way” but on display to help with cooking dinner and etc. The tutorial I found was great and super easy for painting the chalk & cork boards. The Save The Dates are mine (bottom) and my cousins (on top).
I really had fun being a kid and making the birthday board. I traced most of the board, because my hand writing is bad, and I don’t really write straight.
The chalkboard menu and birthday board took most of the afternoon along with blogging stuff being done. Around 6 I picked up dinner for my mom & aunt, than around 8 I picked up dinner for CA and I. I got us Moe’s which was awesomely delicious.
Sunday-THE BIG BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!
I woke up slightly early and started getting ready for the day. I started making breakfast because I just felt like making it. My mum and aunt went out to go shopping at a Craft Fair so CA and I stayed at home with Baloo.
Around 1 we went to a farm close to home instead of out east to avoid the traffic. They had a pumpkin patch where we could go pick whatever pumpkins we wanted, and some farm animals.
We grabbed quite a few pumpkins ^ as you can see above, and had fun acting like kids for a little bit.
^ This was able as natural as I get in pictures. I like it.
We took a few pictures together because, always need to document the fun we were having!
After pumpkin picking, CA and I headed to a local bar to watch football and kill time before going out to dinner. We had some friends there and one bought me a shot, and we left around 4:45. We picked up my mum and aunt, and we headed to an Irish pub that we LOVE to go to. After dinner my future-in laws came over for cake! And we chatted a bit. CA got my a new Islanders Jersey as part of my birthday present. My other presents were an extended trip to NYC & ZBB concert.
I am excited about the next year to come! I am very lucky to have such amazing people in my life that celebrate with me.
Looks like you had a great birthday!! 🙂
