So you might have seen on Monday… about a surprise; Le boyfriend and I went to Jared’s ;). Well obviously either you go to Jared’s for Pandora OR an Engagement ring.
Well if you are thinking engagement ring… you are thinking RIGHT! Ahhh so exciting! Well I’ve gotten permission from Le Boyfriend to actually post about our trip. We went to Jared’s after having zero luck at other places either it was over $6,000 for ONE ring or the ring was SO not my taste.
I am slightly picky with engagement rings…. I don’t like big halo rings or solitaries, and that’s just ME, I like it on other people but that’s just not what I like on my hands. But that’s the trend right now, those two things I don’t like so our looking for the perfect engagement ring hasn’t been that easy.
We were going to Jared’s because it’s got a HUGE selection of rings, and why not?! It’s a new place so maybe our luck could change. Well that’s what happened we walked in… AMAZING service, we were asked right away what we came in for and said engagement rings. We got set up with Benji, most AWESOME person EVER, he was super nice helpful and just so personable.
I told him what I don’t like, and that it could be white gold, he said OK I have a couple rings in mind already! Me to myself… WOAH super easy, we sat down he took out some, a couple were “nice” others were just NO… and than I spot one… it’s frkn BEAUTIFUL, not too HUGE, not too “fake” looking and just enough vintage to hold me over. Well guess what that little sucker has?! I frkn HALO, now you can’t see it unless you turn it or look real close, and it’s small set BACK from the main diamond and just accents it perfectly.
Well he holds that over and a second favorite… we go to a “designer” area and the ring he chooses I just don’t like, we narrow it down between the two.. the one I picked winning.. and sit by wedding bands, and he picks… the PERFECT one… Now the engagement ring didn’t come with a matching wedding band and I know that matching something can be difficult, well Benji found the PERFECT match, vintage feel, pretty designs on the side, just PERFECT looks like they were made for each other!
Well, Benji takes down le boyfriend’s info to get approved and he’s gone longer than we would have liked, but le boyfriend asks me… on a scale of 1-10 how much do you love this ring, no hesitation… a 20. Benji comes back… approved, so le boyfriend says to go ahead… with an engagement ring and wedding band, since they were running a reward special we got $400 off my wedding band and than $100 off his wedding band when we go back! Score!♥
I got sized, paper work filled out and at the end of the month we pick them up and get them appraised. We should be also ordering le boyfriends wedding band as well, which I am excited about. I already made a real pinterest board of ideas I’d actually consider USING in my actual wedding…
Any of you ladies want to give me ideas for Engagement pictures?! I know we aren’t engaged yet, nor do I know when it’ll happen… but since I am a planner… I’d like to get ideas. One idea that I’d like to definitely use is our love for baseball, Mets V Yankees it’ll be which should be fun to do.♥

I am SO picky with my rings, and want something I love, not like. He wanted me to pick it out so he knew I would love it. And yes he will, he's coming up with ideas currently in a way to surprise to ask me haha.

I don't know, I told him not to rush like AT ALL, he told his parents, he talked to my dad, will be talking to my mom soon. So it could be close or he'll make me wait so I don't expect it. I am excited, slightly nervous haha. ♥
Oh how exciting!!!! When my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I went to a ring store, we did it on a whim in the mall and I kinda told him what I liked but it was all his decision and I have to say he did an amazing job on my ring and I LOVE it! Congrats and cant wait to see the ring!!!
That's awesome! Jeremy and I went looking so that he could get ideas of what I wanted, but then he went out on his own and purchased the ring + matching band. He did a great job picking out my ring and I love it. I really do. It was what I wanted, but not exactly like what we had been shown when we went shopping. And he ended up going to Jared. 🙂 Congrats on your soon to happen engagement!

How exciting!! Tim an I decided against going to a store together beforehand but I did send him many a photo along the years to let him know what styles I liked 😉 I can't wait to see photos!! As for engagement photos we pretty much let our photographer run the shoot as for poses and loved how they came out.
