What a crazy weekend, if weekends could always be 3 days that would just be great. CA and I were super busy, basically ALL weekend.
Friday-
After I made a quick dinner, we headed out to the Nautical Mile – a strip of fun places to go to in the summer months. We had a “Mardi Gras” cruise planned, some great tequila, a warm night, and a little bit of romance. Before our cruise we stopped at a restaurant that has an outdoor area that’s all sand, we grabbed drinks and had delicious coconut shrimp! The “cruise” took off at 9pm, so CA checked us in at 8:30 and we got on the little boat and then headed out! We were all over the bay and dropped the people off at another area so they can continue their partying. We got back to the dock around 10:15 pm and headed home.
Saturday-
CA had a golf outing with his brother N and his 2 friends T & D. His Tee time was at 9:20-ish so he had to leave pretty early to get there on time and set up all their stuff (I have NO idea what golfing entails). I stayed home, watched Pretty Little Liars (new obsession), and then got ready to go to David’s Bridal. My aunt and I met my mum there, she had gone fishing earlier that morning. I tried on my wedding dress one more time, 3rd times a charm, and decided it was STILL the dress and my mum purchased it for me!
We grabbed food on our way home, around 3 I got my stuff ready and changed for Red Bulls soccer game. CA picked me up at 4 and I drove us to NJ (where the RB play) and we tailgated for about 45 mins and headed inside. We sat with the South Ward (that’s the name of the supporter sections), and got ready for all the jumping and the amazing game. We had so much fun jumping, chanting, singing, and baiting the players. The Red Bulls ended up winning with a shut out of 3-0, and we stayed for the awesome fireworks they had after the game.
We had some detours in the city, basically right thru Times Square, since there was a backup of traffic everywhere else. We got home just before midnight and promptly passed out.
Sunday-
We woke up early to go to 8am mass, on our way home we grabbed sandwiches and then got ready for a Mets game! This game was my mum’s birthday present, we got there with plenty of time and hid in the clubs to get out of the heat. The Mets started off good, we were in outfield and saw the apple go up (indicating a Home Run). After the 45 minutes rain delay the Mets apparently forgot how to play and we ended up leaving in the bottom of the 7th. After getting home Mum and I ran errands for Taco Night the following night and headed home.
It was a crazy busy but amazingly fun weekend! How was your weekend?!
