Fit + Fab + Healthy: Get Motivated! #prAnaInspira

Lack of motivation is running super high in my world right now. Unfortunately, I’m familiar with being unmotivated or just being in a rut so I’m going to share my 3 ways to get and stay motivated! I know it’s easy to fall off the wagon, I’m the master of falling off the wagon, I have the bruises to prove it. So recently I’ve had to get creative in finding my motivation and hopefully keeping it going more often than not. Sometimes life gets in the way but also, when things aren’t going right all around, usually we find excuses to hold off going out and getting active. So read below for my top 3 ways to get and stay motivated, hopefully, these ways will help you like they’ve helped me.

New workout outfits! I don’t know about you but cute workout clothes always help me get motivated to go to the gym and run. I haven’t always been the type of woman that needs to look cute but, looking cute while sweating my butt off doesn’t hurt anyone. Plus, when you find awesome workout clothes, that aren’t only cute but durable and have sustainable material (which includes organic cotton & recycled wool) to withstand all of the workouts? That’s the perfect combination for me, which is why I picked out these amazing options from prAna! The prAna top is lightweight, which is perfect if you sweat heavily like, light weight material, especially in the summer time, is essential. I love these prAna pants, especially for gym days, they don’t creep down, no wedgies either (lol), They stay in place whether it’s leg day which is squats or deadlifts, or upper body with some cardio thrown in. Check out what I picked from prAna below!

Set up a reward system! It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, Create a list with check marks on the opposite side. I usually start with if I go to the gym 4 days in one week, I get whatever Starbucks drink I chose. If I run 4 days in one week, I’ll put $10 towards either new running shoes or new clothes (workout or regular doesn’t matter). So on and so forth. You create your list to meet your goals, and what you do for working out. Whether it’s yoga, running, lifting, swimming, or even just going for a walk (see number three), anything that is putting you towards your fitness or health goals should be celebrated and deserves a reward!

\\ THREE //
Go for a walk with your SO or pet! Thor loves his walks, and we’re still working on his walking when he sees a squirrel or birds. We’d love to take him on short runs with us but he gets so distracted with sniffing and other animals lol. Walking Thor also helps get his energy out, since he’s crated during the day it’s the perfect way to get his energy level lower. Which if you’ve ever had a puppy you know exactly how energetic they can be! With the weather (hopefully) becoming nicer CA and I will be taking some walks together with Thor.

Or if you’re dog is a big mush like Thor is, you can carry him around for some upper body work. Or do the dog squat challenge. I tried it, Thor was NOT having it, he didn’t like the up & down motion LOL.
What keeps you motivated? Do you need an extra push sometimes even if it’s the summer time?
