Whew! If you didn’t see or hear the news… or see it on Facebook news feed, the North East was going to get hit by Juno… a snow storm BLIZZARD. In Long Island NY where I live we definitely got hit, not as BAD as we had been preparing for, which was 24″-36″, where we are dog sitting we got a little over 20″, with unfortunately higher snow drifts which came up to about 3 FEET.
Since it was predicted to be HORRIBLE driving wise, my company made the decision to not send out drivers and to close for a day and to treat it as a holiday week. It was HECTIC at work on Monday but it was nice to know that I wouldn’t have to make the trip from where I am dog sitting to where I work. I am a bit spoiled because my house is about 5 minutes away from work, so being about 25 minutes is a BIG difference.
Having a SNOW day, means sleeping in a little bit, making a fantastic breakfast and morning cuddles.
