In less than 10 months I’ll be getting married! Wow, this has to sink in for a minute. I remember when I first posted, the big day seemed so far away and everyone said that it would fly. Since I still have a significant amount of weight to lose before the wedding, I’ve stepped up my game. With wanting to lose weight without having extra skin, or lose muscle definition, I put together a new workout routine. In addition, I rejoined the Beach Body team, I purchased CIZE {brand new program}, Shakeology {my breakfast M-F}, and I have an amazing team to back me up. I am also halfway through the 24-day challenge from AdvoCare to jump start my system. After the first 10 days, which was an Herbal Cleanse it definitely was a bit rough, but I made it through and am plowing through into the “max” phase of this challenge.
Besides the challenge, I feel like it’s getting easier to want to eat smaller portions, & grab for lemonade or iced tea {both crystal light} instead of soda. The “going to the gym” thing hasn’t been as consistent as I should be, but I’ve done the run/walk to help at least move. Along with smaller portions, not drinking soda, no alcohol, I’ve also tried to choose healthier snack options that are higher in protein versus high fat/carb content.
My favorite high protein snack to grab is Jack Link’s Jerky. Recently, I was picked to try out three new amazing flavors from Jack Link’s: Sweet Teriyaki Turkey, Original Turkey, and Original Chicken. They were all awesome–Sweet Teriyaki was my favorite! I also received: a sweat towel, EOS lip balm, headband, and a water bottle. I was able to give my workout partner all the awesome goodies I have too! Besides all the extras, the jerky is really the best snack. They’re easy to grab and go. Plus, you can eat a few from the bag, and then zip it back up.
The wedding workout plan is a mix between cardio and weightlifting. The cardio is the run/walk routine, I follow a half marathon training plan to give me a solid schedule. I start out at 3 days a week and work up to 5 days of run/walk a week for 10 weeks. The weight lifting schedule is 4 days a week of heavy lifting, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I love the split that comes with lifting 4 days a week, it stays that way for 5 weeks. The following 5 weeks it becomes 5 days a week of lifting, different split. The mix of cardio and weightlifting will change my body composition and shape my body into my dream body. I am grateful that I was picked to work with this company and share my get wedding ready plan.
The best part is that I get to host a giveaway of all the great goodies below:

WOW! You certainly have your work cut out for you! But, with a wedding in 10 months…you have all the motivation you need! So, “Congratulations!”
As for the jerky…I love beef jerky, and could probably get on board with that part!!!
I just got engaged and have picked up my usual training/eating to get ready for the big day. I’m a sucker for beef jerky for a quick, healthy protein snack along with almonds!
I use to eat beef jerky all the time! But, it was only one specific brand, that I can’t remember anymore. It came in a yellow package, and was only sold in 7-11!!! Of course, this was over 20 years ago…and I have been looking for it ever since! It was the only jerky that I loved!!
My wife jogged daily and would only eat fruit before our wedding. Congrats on your upcoming wedding
Congratulations, lady! You must be so excited. You are super disciplined with your workout and diet routine. I did the same as I was getting ready for my wedding, but you are much more organized with yours! These jerkies look delicious. It’s so funny, I never think to get them, but if someone has them around, I can’t help but eat them! So yummy. I’m looking forward to checking out your blog more!
P.S. I did workout videos to get wedding ready!
I used to love beef jerky! But I can’t seem to find a kind that I like anymore!
Work hard towards your goal!!! You can do it!!!
Working out really helped!!
This is a great brand of jerky. it tastes so good
