Can you believe it’s December 1st?! It’s officially holiday time, all over and especially in my house. We always try and decorate the house inside and out after Thanksgiving but since CA and I went away I wasn’t able to do that right away. We have a large sectional in my house and there’s a standing light in one corner and in the other corner is a “pie table” that is usually decorated for the holiday or season that is approaching. This holiday I was able to decorate it myself!
Getting into the holiday spirit isn’t always easy but this year I am very excited about the holiday this time. CA and I are celebrating THREE years together this Friday and it also puts us 6 months away from our wedding! Christmas is always fun, this year we asked for not material items but experiences, we asked for excursions for our honeymoon cruise. I haven’t gotten to describe our cruise yet and what we are doing but I’ll definitely be getting to it!
I really love all of the Hallmark items I found when I went shopping. It’s actually really hard to not want to buy everything in the store, even the marriage ones, all of the ornaments, it’s crazy. Luckily I stayed on track with the luck of a great blogging friend, we talked about what I should get and she helped me narrow down the things I should get.
The best item I found was the dancing and singing plus snowmen & dog! The larger snowman has a tray of cookies and they sing and do a little dance about cookies! I play the song for you in the YouTube video that’s below. My mum and I bake around 7 cookies each December so this really fits with how our household is.
I know this picture is a bit dark but I wanted to show how amazing the candles look lit. The Porcelain Votive Holders, are really amazing, they are small, and are the perfect size for tea candles!
This candy dish one of my favorite dishes ever. It’s big but not too large for a table like the one I have. Plus how awesome do the holiday candies look in the candy dish ?!
What’s your favorite room or area in your house to decorate for the holidays?
