WOW I can’t believe it’s under a YEAR that CA and I will be getting married! It’s quite crazy how time really flew from when CA asked me to marry him on May 17, 2014 to NOW. Everyone said “it’ll FLY by, it’ll be 2016 before you know it” and it’s true time has flown, and it’s perfect.
After our engagement party the list of things we’ve had to complete has cut in half, which is always nice.
Things that have been completed:
-Venue selected; deposit made and other payments
-Church selected; FOCCUS completed- Pre Cana scheduled for December
-Flowers selected; deposit made, need to finalize how many flowers and etc
-Limo selected; deposit made, Rolls Royce & Party Bus
-Wedding dress; FOUND it! Paid woohoo!
-Wedding accessories- hair piece, earrings (bought), necklace & bracelet (something borrowed), veil will be purchased
-Suits for the men- 2 pieces for the groomsmen and 3 piece for CA {to do}
-Moms dresses {have to go shopping…. I need like 2 bottles of wine for that day}
-Bridesmaids dresses- selected 5 different dresses, they are ordering them in January
-Wedding shoes; OMG they are FREAKING BEAUTIFUL
-Something old, new, borrowed, blue- ALL done!
-Garter- getting it from Irish store
-Save the Dates & invitations are purchased {not sent}
-Favors for wedding- found them buying in September
-Hotel for guests- CA took care of this, got a great deal for Saturday night in June
Basically we have a very good majority of things we need to do done, we are just saving up and I am on a mission to lose weight! This is how I wanted it to be though, relaxing closer to the wedding. The save the dates are being sent out in November, September/October I’ll be getting addresses I need and labeling everything. November-January I’ll be getting the invites together over many glasses of wine, and taking my time.
I think I’m more surprised than anything that I feel SO relaxed as far as wedding planning goes.
Having over two years to plan helps keep this bride calm
Love the gif of Rachel! I need to re-watch “Friends”.
