Happy Fri-YAY! I don’t know about you, but I am happy that it’s the end of the work week and looking forward to this weekend! It’s been a long week (for whatever reason sleep has escaped me). Last week my friends Jennifer, Adriana and myself were all talking about the good ol’ day, the OG days of blogging. What blog posts were about, guest posts introducing other bloggers and more. One of those was a Friday Favorites, which is still around today! I haven’t done a Friday Favorites in forever, and we were talking about how it would be great to have that one post a week to look forward to.
Onto Friday Favorites! Since we’re traveling to New Orleans and going on a cruise in a few weeks I wanted to share my faves for traveling.
I am an avid over packer so I grabbed these compression packing cubes. They generally take up less space, when you zip up the second zipper it’ll compress all of the air out and make it slimmer. One of my blogging friends used this toiletries & makeup carrying case and I fell in love with how many products you can fit in there! I brought this bag for our honeymoon, it’s crossbody so you can keep it in front of you, it held my camera, phone, an external battery charger (this is different since now I have an iPhone X). I try and not overpack since pay for weight overage is expensive and no one wants to be carrying all that weight around for carry on. Also, both flights down to NoLa and back to NY have connecting flights (UGH) so the lighter the carry on the better it is. The Olay moisturizer & eye cream are what I use daily so I use them for traveling as well. This Maybelline foundation is lightweight, not cakey and the closest shade match! The powder is good for keeping the oil at bay and since it’s not loose powder I feel like it’ll make less of a mess. The sponges from EcoTools are great, I love the two sizes, and usually, keep a dry one for loose powder at home. The Maybelline tattoo studio is one of my favorite brow products, I fill my brows in with a pencil and then use this to keep the hairs in place.
