Since I’ve restarted my fitness journey I’ve realized I need certain things on hand at all times. Today I’m sharing my top picks that are always in my gym bag and won’t leave home without.
Gym Essentials for the avid Gym Rat:
I’ve recently been selected to try out Rev3 and I couldn’t be more excited to tell you how much I LOVE this energy drink. It’s not your typical crash and burn energy drink, it doesn’t have a quick surge of energy nor do I get tired when the energy wears off. It mixes well in my shaker bottle for a quick push of energy before I hit the gym at 5 a.m. It tastes great and the packets that it comes in makes it travel friendly as well as that little pouch they come in. If I am away for the weekend with CA I can bring my energy drink without bringing a tub or bringing a little baggy of my drink.
Here’s what Vitamin Pit Stop has to say about my new favorite energy drink:
USANA REV3 Energy Surge Pack – Why not energize with something that is good for you? Cleaner. Smarter. Stronger. Rev 3 Energy Surge Pack is all the power of an energy drink—refined. With antioxidants and caffeine derived from green tea, Rev3 is a more natural energy drink that actually works as a dietary supplement. Rev3 Energy Surge Pack is also a great alternative to crash-and-burn energy drinks. The convenient, ready-to-mix stick pack lets you take it anywhere, perfect for when you need a quick and refreshing pick-me-up. It is low in calories (10 calories per serving) and hydrating. You can keep it in your water bottle for sustained energy throughout the day or get a quick boost for that long walk or bike ride.
2. Earbuds and Journal Menu-
Earbuds are essential for getting through a workout, mine are also wireless which helps me not be attached to my phone throughout my workout. These give me a nice loud, crisp sound so I can blast my hardcore rock music to keep me going through my lifting session.
Journal Menu is how I keep track of what I need to get done for that particular day. Inside it has spot for the day, which workouts I have to do, the number of sets, reps, and the amount of weight I have to use. I love how this keeps me organized and on point so I don’t get distracted by having to check my phone for what I need to get done.
3. Lifting gloves & Lifting Belt-
Gloves keep my hands from ripping, also I feel like I have a better grip on the weights. I am not going to be competing so I don’t have the needs to get a grip with just my hands.
The belt will help you keep your core tight, protecting your back during heavier lifts. This only goes on when I am going for a really heavy PR weight, for deadlifts or for squats.
4. Hat & Lifting Shoes
My hat was my best friend when I first started lifting at the gym. I wanted to “hide” from everyone, because I wanted no one to actually look at me. This hat… is my favorite, it says bite me it matches my personality perfectly.
Shoes, what girl doesn’t have enough shoes?! These help keep your feet planted in important exercises, any kind of squats, deadlifts and I also use them on the leg press.
