It’s July 2nd, and yesterday was the first day that CA and I made it to the beach. Where is summer GOING?! And can it slow down, just a little bit?! Thankfully we’re close to most beaches and we went with my mom who has a town beach pass (fewer people). We headed there around 8:20, and left around 12;45. The sun was blasting, and the UV index was 9, so we applied SPF 50 + 30 like it was our jobs, and I didn’t care how cold the water was, it felt glorious! I’m excited to be off Wednesday, we bought a Mac Mini computer for me, and I just want to sit and play ALL day long. I’ve been dying for a Mac computer or laptop and this was the best option (shout out to the hubs for that). We have a family reunion over the weekend, and I’m hoping for nicer weather, last year it was raining and GROSS. I always double summer clothes + patriotic clothes, so if I wear them separately or together, I don’t want to walk around looking like a flag.
I picked a few favorites that are currently in my cart to purchase and below I added all of the pieces I found that I like!
For weekends or nights I always need a good pair of shorts, and since I have short legs (I’m only 5″4′) I wear shorter shorts. (could I possibly have said the word short anymore lol) The denim and the white are perfect for all summer long, especially with the espadrilles (since they come in 4 colors!), or if you’re feeling more casual go for these slides with bows (comes in 5 colors!). The denim shorts would be great with this top for a cooler summer night, especially if you’re by the water. I love having different pairs of sunglasses and the mirrored look are my jam, especially when they have a variety of colors. Can’t enjoy 4th of July without a beach towel and straw hat to protect you from the sun (I have one that says Bon Voyage – for when we go on our cruises!). The pineapple suit has been in my cart forever, I may just get it cause I’ll be sad if it sells out and I don’t have it yet. Anyone else just LOVE everything pineapples?! This gingham dress is SO pretty and I love the neckline and the hi-low, you can pair it with these wedges and it’s great for a summer night out!
