Thank you to Skechers for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring me to try their fantastic shoes in support of the fight to end breast cancer!
October is Breast Cancer awareness month, it’s where pink clothing and accessories are in abundance, but also it’s the month where many people walk to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. I am lucky enough to be able to receive an amazing pair of Skechers Breast Cancer Shoes, particularly the GoRun3 running shoes!
I am fortunate enough to not have a personal experience with Breast Cancer, nor has anyone in my family had Breast Cancer. But, being a woman, it’s something I always think about, I do know some women who have had to battle Breast Cancer, including an amazing woman who beat Breast Cancer once, and is currently gearing up to fight it again. It takes a strong person, with a tough soul to be able to handle the stress that having any type of cancer can bring upon them, to get through it and come out the other side stronger.
don’t have family members, whom have had breast cancer, but I do know people
that fought it, and one is even on her second fight with Breast Cancer. I run
for those who are no longer able to run, I run for the women who are getting
treated, who are no longer here with us, and how are too sick to run.
in the support for breast cancer, well all Cancers I support actually. My
grandfather passed away from three different types of cancer {name them}, so I
have walked for Breast Cancer awareness, and also for Relay for Life. I always
try to raise money, and donate as much money as possible to both of these
causes. Even though pink isn’t my “color” I will always buy something where the
proceeds will go towards Breast Cancer research, whether it’s to detect
earlier, & save patients who aren’t able to catch it early enough.
up, long miles ahead, each time I lace up to run in my GoRUN3’s I will be
running for the women and men who are fighting the fight against breast cancer,
and those who are no longer with us.
